No Hooding No Problem
So how really does Optilid help achieve a model-tier eye area? We're gonna breakdown the benefits you may see when using our product.
The Breakdown
-
Orbital Depth + Shadow
Orbital depth is not just about bone structure it’s largely about how light and shadow behave around the eye. Once we achieve hooding, the product creates a visual effect of deeper set eyes and a strong browridge.
-
Our Hooded Eye Effect
The appearance of hooded eyes is heavily dependant on the how the lower brow skin naturally drapes and folds above the upper eyelid. We recreate this by, firstly; When the balm is applied, part of the upper eyelid skin is encouraged to stick gently in contact with the area beneath the brow instead of leaving the area exposed. Throughout the day, your upper eyelid now adheres to your lower brow, covering the hollow gap which is known to be the reason of upper eyelid exposure.
-
Canthal Tilt
When the outer portion of the upper eyelid sits higher than the inner portion, the eye naturally appears more positively angled. When Optilid sticks the upper eyelid to the brow, it allows the eyelid to follow the brow’s natural upward slope toward the outer eye. This raises the outer upper eyelid relative to the inner corner, enhancing the appearance of a positive canthal tilt.
The secret ingredient
Sarsasapogenin is a plant-derived compound best known for its role in Volufiline®, where it has been studied for its ability to support adipocyte (fat cell) differentiation. In laboratory settings, sarsasapogenin has been shown to activate pathways involved in lipid storage and adipocyte maturation—most notably through modulation of PPAR-γ, a key regulator of fat cell development. By encouraging pre-adipocytes to mature and store lipids, the ingredient is believed to support gradual increases in localized fat volume when applied consistently. In the context of the upper eyelid and brow area, this mechanism may help reinforce a fuller, more supported look over time, complementing the immediate visual effects of hooding.
Eyelashes + Brows Benefit
When applied gently to the lashes and brows, its naturally viscous texture helps define them, acting like a lightweight gel that enhances curl, hold, and overall prominence. At the same time, castor oil is rich in ricinoleic acid and fatty acids that are widely associated with conditioning and supporting healthier-looking hair over time. With consistent use, this nourishing environment can help brows and lashes appear fuller, stronger, and more resilient, complementing the sculpted eye effect.
